Areas of Expertise

Compassionate therapy for the moments that feel too heavy to carry alone.

At Love & Light Counseling & Wellness, we specialize in supporting clients through the internal struggles that don’t always show on the outside—but still take up space. Our work is rooted in deep empathy, nervous system awareness, and a trauma-informed lens.

You're not alone in what you're feeling.

Life can leave us feeling frayed, foggy, or like we’re carrying too much with too little support.

At Love & Light Counseling & Wellness, we hold space for the in-between moments—the quiet struggles that don’t always have a name, but still deserve attention.

Below are the areas where we offer focused, compassionate care—always tailored to meet you where you are.

Anxiety & Mood

When your mind feels like it never shuts off, we help you create calm. Learn how to regulate your nervous system, challenge intrusive thoughts, and feel safer in your own body.

Grief & Loss

Loss shows up in many forms—death, divorce, dreams deferred. Therapy is where you’re allowed to fall apart and slowly begin again.

Trauma Recovery

Whether it’s something recent or decades old, trauma doesn’t have to define you. We use EMDR and trauma-informed therapy to support your healing—without re-traumatization.

Neurodivergence & ADHD

Compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming support for individuals navigating ADHD, executive functioning challenges, sensory overwhelm, masking, burnout, and the unique emotional experiences that often come with being neurodivergent.

Relationships & Codependency Attachment Styles

Helping individuals and couples explore attachment styles, relationship patterns, boundaries, and codependency dynamics to build healthier, more secure, and emotionally connected relationships.

their words...their story

My name is Megan.  Alli  has been my therapist for about a year and has helped me work through some very difficult periods in my life.

Alli’s approach is compassionate and practical. She never pressures clients toward medication; instead, she focuses on helping to resolve trauma through other methods, including  EMDR therapy. With her guidance, I’ve made meaningful progress in managing anxiety and depression, healing from childhood and family trauma, and processing a prior sexual assault that I hadn’t been able to name before.

She has supported me through major personal growth—such as coming out as bisexual to my religious family, rebuilding my confidence after an abusive relationship, and learning to release toxic influences from my life. Her work has greatly reduced my PTSD symptoms: the nightmares and triggers that once occurred nightly are now rare, and the coping skills she’s taught me have been life‑changing.

There is still more to work on, but thanks to Alli I feel stable, hopeful, and equipped to handle daily challenges, including ongoing contact with my abuser. Talking with her feels safe and natural—almost like confiding in a trusted friend—and I’m deeply grateful that I gave therapy another chance. I truly would not have made this progress without her.
